“Hearts for Haiti” Campaign is our February Constant Campaign

Our hearts go out to the victims of the earthquake in Haiti, and like so many of you, we’re eager to help. We’re excited to announce Close To My Heart’s February Constant Campaign, Hearts for Haiti—where customers can get a great deal while doing great good for those affected by the devastation in Haiti.

From February 1-28, 2010, our 12” x 12” textured cardstock combo packs are buy one, get one FREE—and with every offer purchased, Close To My Heart will donate $2 US to Operation Smile’s Haiti relief efforts.

Operation Smile is always a fantastic charitable partner—offering free facial reconstruction surgeries to needy children throughout the world. They’ve currently marshaled their medical teams and resources to provide emergency relief in Haiti, and the donations given as part of Hearts for Haiti will be used exclusively for Operation Smile’s efforts in Haiti. For more information on their on-the-ground response, you can visit

That means that for $14.95/$17.50 CAN, you get two packs of textured cardstock (a great deal at about $.30/$.36 per sheet!),  and Operation Smile will receive $2 to benefit this urgent, important cause. Stock up on every color combination: Basic, Spring Harmony, Summer Celebration, Autumn Harvest, and Winter Cozy packs are available.

On February 1, you can read more about Hearts for Haiti at > Campaigns & Promotions > Hearts for Haiti.

March 6th Workshop!

Using the Veranda paper packet we're going to have a workshop! Join us on March 6th, from 1pm to 3pm in Fredericksburg, VA at the American Red Cross building for a couple hours of scrapping. The basic Workshop kit includes the Level 2 paper packet, and Exclusive stamp set (can't be bought after the release of the new catalog), the Filigree charms and the workshop guide for $29.95. You can add on the Mini-Medley Antique Copper collection ($4.95) and Just Blooms Spring Blossom paper flowers ($7.95).

This workshop requires registration to ensure space and pre-payment for supplies. Above is the Workshop flyer to see the products you get in the kit. Please email me to register

Layout examples!

Here are a few layouts I have done using Easy Inspiration (Layout option #1). They still need to be embellished and journaling needs to be printed out. I bought the CTMH fonts disc #1 and I have to say I LOVE it! I hate my handwriting (well at least on every page) so I typed up what I wanted to say for my layouts in Word and fixed the margins to make sure the paragraph prints in the right format and when I print it out I will either print on Vellum or Cardstock ( you can buy CTMH cardstock in 8 1/2"x11") then cut it to size for my space on my layout and VOILA! Now I can't wait to buy the other fonts disc! I plan to go back and do all the journaling for all my layouts using this process.
