Crop Til You Drop!

Rescheduled the Idea Book Kickoff!

My mother was hospitalized earlier this week and I haven't had too much time to put together all I planned to for the Idea Book Kick Off Party. I have rescheduled this to the 9th of September here at my home in Spotsylvania. I hope to see more people here with this date change. Get the kiddos off to school or preschool and head over here to play with some of Close To My Heart's latest and greatest products! Close to My Heart news!

It's amazing to me that this year is rolling on out. Before we know it it will be Christmas and then our annual retiring of products will take effect. This is going to be a HUGE list! Hostess Club!

A new round of Hostess Club will start in April.

Details for Hostess Club:

  • Each Club has 6 members. All the members commit to spending at least $25 in product (before tax and shipping). As a result each member will take turns being the Hostess and reaping the Hostess Rewards.
  • All Hostess Club orders are due by the 3rd Saturday of each month to ensure that the Hostess has time to sort out what she would like to order.
  • You may schedule a party or workshop with me to help boost your rewards but if you don't want to that's okay too.
  • Hostess Club members will receive The Idea Book (catalog) 2 weeks before it goes live for FREE!

I'm so excited to announce that I have several events to be added to your calendars!

April 17th-from 1p-7p at the Fredericksburg Red Cross - Free All Day Crop! Please register with me so that we have the right amount of tables and chairs set up and you receive all emails and updates.

May 1st- from 1p-4pm at the Fredericksburg Red Cross- Summer 2010 Catalog Debut Open House! Come out and check out the new Summer catalog and get your hands on some of the newest products from Close to My Heart. Drawings and door prizes will be available.

The deadline for the September Retreat is almost here. If you haven't already signed up and paid your deposit you need to have it in by Friday the 12th. I only have 5 spaces left. I am hosting a Scrapbooking Layout workshop using Veranda on March 6th here in Fredericksburg. I need prepayment for your kit no later than Feb 19th. Scrapbooking Retreat!

I have been in the process of planning a 3day weekend Scrapbooking retreat September 17th-19th, 2010. Here are a few of the details. Location will be in Fairfield, Pennsylvania and will be all inclusive. You only have to plan your transportation up there and back. I have to have a minimum of 15 people to make this happen. If you have friends or family members that would be interested in this trip please refer them to my blog, website or have them email me for info and to pre-register. The total cost per person will be $105 (including lodging -Fri and Sat night- and meals- Sat all meals and Sun breakfast and lunch). Half is due upfront by Feb 12th to hold our space and half will be due 3 weeks before the retreat. If I have more than 15 people I will create a waiting list and if anyone has to back out the waitlist (first come, first serve) will be contacted. Hope you'll join me! Happy Scrapping!

March 6th Workshop!

Using the Veranda paper packet we're going to have a workshop! Join us on March 6th, from 1pm to 3pm in Fredericksburg, VA at the American Red Cross building for a couple hours of scrapping. The basic Workshop kit includes the Level 2 paper packet, and Exclusive stamp set (can't be bought after the release of the new catalog), the Filigree charms and the workshop guide for $29.95. You can add on the Mini-Medley Antique Copper collection ($4.95) and Just Blooms Spring Blossom paper flowers ($7.95).

Layout examples!

Here are a few layouts I have done using Easy Inspiration (Layout option #1). They still need to be embellished and journaling needs to be printed out. I bought the CTMH fonts disc #1 and I have to say I LOVE it! I hate my handwriting (well at least on every page) so I typed up what I wanted to say for my layouts in Word and fixed the margins to make sure the paragraph prints in the right format and when I print it out I will either print on Vellum or Cardstock ( you can buy CTMH cardstock in 8 1/2"x11") then cut it to size for my space on my layout and VOILA! Now I can't wait to buy the other fonts disc! I plan to go back and do all the journaling for all my layouts using this process.
